Formalised in 1994 it seeks to look after the interests and welfare of members of the journalism fraternity in the State of Sabah, Malaysia. Affectionately known only as "SJA" among its more than 100 members, the Association also strives to assist in uplifting the standard of journalism in Sabah through its activities and programmes as well as strengthening the existing cordial bond among its members as well as their counterparts all over the world.

FOSTERING TIES



ONE FOR THE ALBUM ... Sabah Journalists Association (SJA) hosted a goodwill dinner for six East Kalimantan, Indonesia journalists who visited Kota Kinabalu end of June 2010.

The Indonesian delegation led by Kaltim Pos and Jawa Pos, President and News Director, Zainal Mutaqin was in Sabah on invitation by the Sabah Economic and Investment Authority (Sedia) in the bid to promote the Sabah Development Corridor (SDC).

On hand to welcome the Indonesian journalists were SJA President Datuk Joniston, SJA committee members as well as representatives from Sedia.
